Wealth Consciousness

Why Receiving Is Just as Important as Giving

What if your bank account isn’t empty because you don’t have enough—
but because you give too much?
And what if no one ever taught you how to truly receive money?

Wealth Consciousness—the awareness of abundance, energetic flow, and the deep permission to receive—is a theme that’s been very present in my life lately. My business is growing. We’re hiring new team members, taking on more responsibility, and investing—not just financially, but also with energy, trust, and courage. And with every new stage of growth, old inner patterns begin to surface.

Maybe you know what I mean. Can you say “I love money” without hesitation? Or does it feel somehow wrong?

My Childhood: Wealth Was Suspicious

I grew up as the daughter of a Protestant pastor. In our family, the message was clear: money wasn’t something you kept—it was something you gave away. Wealthy people were viewed with suspicion. My father gave away almost everything he had. For us kids, that meant no branded clothes, no trendy sneakers—just the cheapest ones from the local discount store.

In a small village of 900 people, where appearance mattered, that led to exclusion and bullying. These early experiences shaped my core beliefs:
Rich people are selfish. Having a lot of money is immoral. And if I keep money, I must be a bad person.

Tony Robbins & the Spiritual Misunderstanding

Years later, I found my way to Tony Robbins—an incredible teacher. But his famous quote, “The meaning of living is giving,” didn’t set me free. It confirmed everything I had already internalized. I already believed my value depended on how much I gave. That quote just turned it into a spiritual law.

So I gave. Everything. Time, energy, knowledge, money.
I offered free courses, gave away content, and even paid employees a percentage of gross revenue—out of idealism.
And maybe also out of fear: that if I didn’t, I wouldn’t be a “good person.”

The result? As founders, we lost money on every single transaction.

When I Barked the Money Away

In one mastermind exercise, I was asked to draw myself and money as animals.
I drew myself as a dog. And money as a flock of birds.
What did the dog do?
He barked. Loudly. Reflexively.
He scared the money away.

That image was so real, so true.
I couldn’t hold money. I couldn’t let it stay—because deep inside, I believed it made me wrong. Selfish. Unloving.

Learning to Receive: I’m Allowed to Keep

That’s different now.

I’ve learned that I am a loving, worthy person—even if I don’t give everything away.
I’m allowed to keep money. I’m allowed to receive.
I’m allowed to grow it, invest it, and hold it.

These days, I start my morning with a little ritual. I light a candle, play soft music, and look at my account—gratefully.
I celebrate what’s there. Not as proof of performance, but as an expression of consciousness.

And yes—I’m allowed to become the first millionaire in my family.
Not from greed, but from clarity.
From the inner permission to write a new chapter.

Wealth Consciousness as a Daily Practice

To me, Wealth Consciousness means:
I see myself as the source of abundance.
I am no longer a martyr.
I don’t need to save anyone.
I am a conscious creator.

This is not a destination. It’s a daily decision.
Every day, I choose to receive.
To make peace with what is.
To remember that I can shift everything—at any time.

Two Questions That Can Change Everything

If this resonates with you, I invite you to reflect on two simple—but powerful—questions:

1. What experiences in your childhood or past taught you to associate money with shame, guilt, struggle, or scarcity?
What did people say about money in your home?
Did you ever feel ashamed for having something—or for not having it?

Take your time with this.
Light a candle. Breathe. Listen within.

2. What new story do you want to tell yourself about money—starting today?

Here’s mine:

I’m allowed to have lots of money in my account.
And I’m still a good person.

This sentence stays with me every time I spend money.
And it has changed everything.

A New Relationship With Growth and Abundance

And so has our business.
Our bank account is growing.
Our team is expanding.
We’ve hired our second employee and are now working with a beautiful network of freelancers.

Not because I’m working harder—
but because I’m receiving more consciously.

Wealth Consciousness isn’t a goal.
It’s a way of being.
It grows with your choices, your brave investments, your decision to trust yourself again and again.

Live Your Purpose in Abundance

Along the way, I share openly—grounded, honest, and spiritually connected—what it means to live your soul’s purpose.
Not from lack, but from truth.
If you’re longing for more depth, expansion, and authentic receiving, I invite you to walk with me.
